Gay Bar
The most popular gay bar in Sofia. The ultimate pre-club, only 10 minutes away from every nightclub in the central part of Sofia. House and pop music every evening. On Thursdays Bulgarian pop folk music. The DJ plays every request possible for you to enjoy your favourite music. Face control at the entrance stops inappropriate and problem people. Recently renovated, cosy atmosphere, attractive prices, variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and cocktails.
Daily from 6pm until 3 am (or later if guests are present)
No minimum consumption; No entrance fee (except when there is shows)

Comment by Justin who visited in August 2006: I was very disappointed. The club played mostly music by request and it was often very bad. The wait-staff was rude and told us most of the bar space was reserved and showed favoritism towards Bulgarian natives. When i asked for a Martini I was served a drink that tasted like draino with bad lemons. Not only was the club mostly straight, but many of the women were disgusted by my dancing with my boyfriend. And finally I found the crowd unpleasant and unattractive.

Reply from Alexander, the owner of Exit: Sorry for disappointing you. Do you really think that playing music by request is a bad thing? Dont you wish hearing your favourite song while drinking your whiskey? And about the seats. Justin, when you go to a bar or a restaurant on a busy evening when lots of clients are expected, and you go without reservation, do you expect to be seated on some others people places (places that these people have reserved a few days before going there) and what will happen when these people come? If someone tells you these seats are reserved, is this favouritism? I guarantee that women clients and straight men in the club are less than 10%. The face control at the entrance takes care about this. But if someone repulsed your invitations that doesnt necessarily mean he is straight (or unpleasant and unattractive). The alcohol in the club is bought only from trusted and proven distribution companies, but if there are complaints about the quality of the served drinks, I promise to check and control the bartendrs and waiters more strictly. And the last thing, on the busiest nights (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays) I am always in the club. If you have any problem, feel free to look for me and tell me about it. I insist on solving problems as quick as possible.

Comment by Albert who visited in January 2007: I've been at Exit in November 06 and January 07. The first time there was few people and many of them were escorts, the rest semi travestites.

Reply from Alexander, the owner of Exit: The escorts that I know are not allowed in the club. Of course as you know in every bar (no matter gay or straight) there are people that occasionally take money for company or sex but dont work as escorts. If he is a good client I cannot stop him from visiting the club, just because he sometimes goes to bed for money. After all everybody decides for himself whether to pay for a certain guy or to search for another. About the transvestites, i think they also have the right to visit night clubs and have fun. Why shouldn`t they be there?

Comment by Ivan who visited in June 2007: visited in a hot June night, due to the lack of air conditioning it was simply unbearable to stay for over 5 minutes, the crowd was hanging out on a dimly lit street outside sitting on parked cars, etc. avoid in the summer if you can

Comment by Iacopo who visited in August 2007: We went to the Exit coffee bar and, looking at the menu we could see on their website we should have paid 19,70 leva. We paid instead 64 leva! We cannot find out the reason for this treatment.

Gay, Bar, Club
Two floor bar colored in orange with photos of gorgeous man on the walls. In summer the third floor is a big terrace. At the first floor is the caf? part with small tables more like in patisserie. Down stairs the space is small with tiny stage. Friday and Saturday are DJ days and it is really crowded downstairs. Beautiful boys dancing on so-called pop folk music. For non-smokers it will be too much but the party during the weekend is good.
Open 24 hours/ 7 days a week
No minimum consumption; No entrance fee.

No minimum consumption; Entrance fee: 2 BGN

Comment by Viktor who visited in August 2005: Why Not is situated some 250 300 meter walking distance from the famous Sveta Nedelya Church. The bar is very small and very crowded from Fridays to Sundays. The music is mainly pop-folk. Small bar. Small toilet.

Comment by Christopher who visited in July 2007: Very friendly patrons, reasonable drink prices, folk pop music was mostly played.
